We cover a distance of about 65 kilometers with a 100 km/h speed limit so I increased the playback speed by quite a bit. It's especially unfortunate on stretches of highway like these that there is a 100 km/h speed limit in place during the day, since as you can see it's perfectly designed to handle 130 km/h. Those 30 km/h can make quite a difference on such distances when traffic is low. Heerenveen is a city in the heart of the Friesland province with about 40.000 inhabitants. It's well-known for its speed-skating temple 'Thialf' and of course the football club SC Heerenveen. You can see the Abe Lenstra Stadium on the right at the beginning of the video. It has a capacity of 26.000, which is quite large for a city of this size. Zwolle is a significantly larger city in the East of the Netherlands. It has over 120.000 inhabitants and has a rich history being part of the Hanseatic trade route in the North of Europe.
