Historic Spaces & Places - PopUp Corsicana

The City of Corsicana hired AP Development in 2017 to add fuel to the revitalization of their downtown. We designed a popup retail program, coordinated events and public spaces for use throughout the weekend of April 7th-9th, and incorporated marketing material to advertise for-sale and for-lease properties. The events showcased the town Friday and Saturday - the people, the culture, the great new shops, a dozen temporary popup shops, the local favorite hot spots, and the potential to have a thriving destination on the weekends - then Sunday we held a tour of available for-sale and for-lease properties with potential new business owners, property owners, and investors.  There's a synergy growing here. In the 4 months that we planned for the Popup event, 11 new business either signed leases or opened downtown. Corsicana, the original Texas oil town, is making a come back.
