And 'No', it's not a Wankel rotary engine, this is an engine that actually spins around its fixed crankshaft, and it's one of the biggest rotary engines produced during the First World War. After WW1 rotary engines fell out of favour (in aircraft designs) as newer radial and inline engines became available and the power to weight ratio of those engines was increased.
