#8 Inna Jungle Warehouse follows on from the previous #6 'Inna Jungle Horizon' mix, focussing again on the 'jungle' sound (i.e. tunes constructed using/featuring/referencing the 'amen break' - that key defining characteristic of Jungle drum n bass), this time beginning with what some of this style gets labelled as 'intelligent' or 'ambient' or 'atmospheric' drum n bass (some names conjured up during it's peak period in the late 90s warehouse rave period where this style really made its splash for obvious reasons). Jungle drum breaks, w washed out synths/balearic piano pads/jazzy samples/warm 808 bass tones/midi tambourines & angelic vocals (+ the odd reggae flavs). Sounds synonymous w iconic/ground breaking producers like Nookie, Blame, Adam F, Photek, etc, & the underground warehouse rave scenes where this music birthed. Some of those incl here, + more recents keeping the sound updating and progressing it, (incl favs from Hugh Hardie, Makoto, DJ Marky, & Bungle-yes André! still going strong! SP representeee!✊🏽). Definitely conjuring up memories of those late 90s early 2000s warehouse sessions times. enjoy), however you want to categorise it - in the end it's just 'good music'.
