Line and Wash is a very accessible drawing style and great for beginners. Sketching rural landscapes can be tough and there are a lots of decisions to make about what to draw and what to leave out. Some of story will be told by the linework and some of it by the watercolour stage. Sometimes its only by showing the whole process that you get a understanding of an artist process. Rural Sketching requires minimal equipment and therefore is a very accessible for newbies. It is essentially not only a reflection of the landscape but also what it means to be within the fabric of it. Urban Sketching is fun and a busy city street has a lovely buzz but it can also be intimidating and a hassle. Escaping to do rural sketching in the countryside is generally more peaceful and for some time out and relaxation time always pretty effective.
