Jim Kennedy shared his thoughts (while standing in front of a chroma-key) on United States unwillingness to address China's industrial espionage against Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL) in [likely] pursuit of Molten Salt Reactor technology. Jim asks: Is the Department of Energy intentionally facilitating Th-MSR technology transfer to China? In early July 2012, Energy Secretary Steven Chu agreed to allow the destruction of U-233, as the Department of Energy considers it a dangerous proliferation concern. Thorium advocates see it as an invaluable resource to start Thorium Molten Salt Reactors (such as LFTR). Once started with U-233, such reactors can run on plentiful, inexpensive thorium. DoE is going to spend $511M to destroy the only U-233 stockpile in the West, and essentially kneecap the United State's ability to compete with China on the development of thorium reactors. This footage was shot for use in future THORIUM REMIX iterations. YouTube 1080P MPEG-4 can be used in a hurry, for optimal quality contact thoriumremix@gmail.com for higher bitrate video data.
