Karl Müller Tief- und Straßenbau relied on the VÖGELE SUPER 1803-5 X for the pavement rehabilitation of a recycling center in Brigachtal, Germany. The Dash 5 generation wheeled paver renewed a 700 m² asphalt surface. The site is used daily by heavy goods vehicles and thus subject to heavy wear. For this reason, the asphalt surface had to be completely renewed. A 6-8 cm thick binder course and a 4 cm thick surface course were laid. The area contained numerous manhole covers, corners and narrowings. As such, the maneuverability of the SUPER 1803-5 X played a key role. The Pivot Steer steering brake reduced the turning radius, allowing the paver to be guided precisely around the manhole covers. Furthermore, the clear and concise ErgoPlus 5 operating concept also contributed to the smooth operation. The team was able to start without extensive training.
