I feel that all these 4 things must be happening simultaneously for a beautiful low note to happen. Another thing my teacher always says is that the lower notes are the foundation for the higher notes. Without good low notes, your high notes will be either airy or forced/ugly or both!! That means, if you are having a hard time playing high notes, the chances are your low notes are out of whack!!
