Reflecting on 10 Years of ABA (2009-2019)

Today marks the beginning of a transition from inward speaking to outward. Less jargon and topical things that only behavior analysts would understand. Why? Well, internet videos fueled on behavior analysis but for a more general audience may mean more public awareness of the field. I don't expect this to be overnight but over a few months. Here are some "themes" of videos I'm thinking about always creating within: One Minute Monday Why Context Matters Why We Do What We Do The Failure Series Archives Follow This Mental & Behavioral Health I'm hoping to create more things as I have, but dabble in some new stuff. All "fueled" by behavior analysis, but slowly less and less targeted JUST for behavior analysts, and hopefully meaningful to people within and outside of the field (e.g., psychology students). They're flexible in that I can bring others into any of them (one issue I used to have is just me saying stuff leads to me running out of shit to say and it's not as useful for others, the field, etc.), and I hope it allows me to find a schedule to upload on over time. I'd like to be more consistent, and I guess I'll see if I can make that happen naturally prior to committing publicly and failing haha. What about the nerdy content? We'll keep the super behavior-nerd/potentially jargon-filled, and ABA-specific talks still going on @thecontroversialexchange podcast (including video and audio clips) as well as in April 2020 when we release the Pat Friman piece it'll come with a brand that continues to push out high-quality, nerdy, even CEU-worthy content for analysts.
