This solar light is based on Youtuber MrFreddiew1's solar light. It is based on the QX5252 chip. I used an inductor taken from a broken power supply as I don't have the suggested 33uH inductor. The light uses one 1.2v rechargeable AA and the joule thief like circuit will power the 7 LEDs, hopefully through the night. I will connect it to a 6 volt solar panel, probably overkill, but it's again what I have on hand. The light seems to work when I connected it to the battery. Next step is to wire a switch and connect the wires to the solar panel. I will encase the unit in a glass jar so that it'll be weatherproof.
