Made this vid as a rough demonstration how to use railguns to best effect in PvE, you only need two, and g1 long range engineering is all you need on them (and is what the weapons in the video have, G1 long range with mild heat reduction to both). For the full build see my other Python video, someone asked in the comments and I replied, the PAs in this video are as per the Coriolis build, g5 focused (for the shot speed). Naturally this is a hot build with 2 large focused full heat PAs and a pair of railguns, but it's manageable, despite the warnings in this video I took only 1 or 2% damage to a couple of modules from heat. The Feedback railgun negates shield cells, note how effectively. I haven't done the math, but I expect that this is the highest damage per shot weapon in the game when used against a ship deploying a shield cell, the amount of effective health it negates is staggering. Once the shields are down, the reduced damage and high thermal component of the feedback railgun, makes it markedly less effective as a damage dealing weapon, so it's time to focus on the other railgun, which has the super penetrator special effect. This causes the slug to pass through the superstructure of the ship in a straight line, damaging any internal module it comes into contact with long the way. It is possible (and happens frequently), to take out two enemy modules or more in one shot. As you can see in the vid, only 5 good shots is enough to bring the enemy PP to 0 and therefore a standstill. If I had not had the feedback rail, the fight would have been much longer. As for the super pen, my aim needs improvement, his hull was almost down by the time the PP popped, but saved time there as well. Hitting the PP as you can see, at least with a HOTAS joystick isn't easy, so your mileage may vary depending on the control method. Happy hunting CMDRs! ;)
