Fear vs Hope. This is Part 4 of our cancer story, and like all the others, it’s a journey through the peaks and valleys of life. In this episode, Ethan undergoes multiple dilations for his oesophageal stricture, and for a while, we finally get to breathe—two clear scans show no cancer progression. We make the most of that time, visiting Florence for Christmas, enjoying visits from family, and celebrating Ethan’s 51st birthday. These were truly happy moments, and we hold them close. But as with every chapter in our cancer story, new challenges arise, and the road ahead is not without heartache.
