The fingerstyle version, arranged by Jerry Snyder, ofScott Joplin's ragtime piano classic, The Entertainer. Ragtime, or ragged time, music is characterized by its syncopated melodies, striding bass, and structured harmony. It likely grew out of fiddle and banjo dance rags, and Joplin's parents were a fiddler and a banjo player. His classical training on piano heavily influenced his music and his desire to make ragtime into a classical form.
