This guided Mountain Meditation is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with a sense of steadiness within you. Using the imagery of a strong, grounded mountain, you’ll be gently guided to settle the body, soften the breath, and let go of unnecessary tension. As the meditation unfolds, you’re invited to imagine yourself as the mountain — stable, rooted, and calm — remaining steady through changing weather, thoughts, emotions, and life’s ups and downs. This practice is inspired by the classic Mountain Meditation from Jon Kabat-Zinn’s mindfulness teachings, shared here in my own words and style. It’s especially supportive if you’re feeling overwhelmed, reactive, or pulled around by stress, and want to reconnect with a deeper sense of inner strength and equanimity. This meditation can help you: • Feel more grounded and centred • Build emotional resilience • Cultivate calm awareness • Strengthen mindfulness and presence Find a comfortable position, allow yourself to be supported, and let the mountain do the teaching.
