By following a few basic steps, you can ensure your device functions properly over the long term. Our instructional video guides you through the entire process for hassle-free maintenance. AFIRE, manufacturer of water vapor fireplaces and inserts, and electric steam fireplaces Required Materials: 🧽 Soft cloth 🛠️ Manual pump (or electric pump) 🪣 Bucket 💧 Plastic filling hose (the one supplied with the device) 🍋 White vinegar: 1.5 liters for a 50 cm section of the tank (0.4 gal for 20 inches) ⚡ Turn off and unplug the device. Steps to Follow (For each Mist Maker tank) 1. Preparation and Draining 🛑 Remove the top plate. Unscrew the lid of the Mist Maker tank. Use a manual pump (or electric pump) to empty the water from the tank. Remove the Mist Maker from the tank. 2. Cleaning 🧼 Clean the surface of the Mist Maker and any areas where dirt can accumulate using a soft cloth. Add 1.5 liters (0,4 gal) of pure white vinegar to each Mist Maker tank (each tank measures about 50 cm or 20 inches). Screw the lid of the tank back on and replace the top plate. 3. Rest Time 🕒 Let it sit for 8 hours (overnight). 4. Rinsing 💦 Remove the top plate again. Unscrew the lid of the Mist Maker tank. Use a pump to drain the white vinegar from the tank. Fill and drain each Mist Maker tank with 1.5 liters (0,4 gal) of clean water to remove any remaining vinegar residue. 5. Reassembly ⚙️ Place the Mist Maker back in the tank and plug it in. Screw the lid back on and replace the top plate. ⚡ Plug the device back in. 6. Filling and Final Steps 🚰 Remove the cap from the filling port and connect the filling hose. Press the B1 button for 5 seconds to fill the device with water. The pump will stop automatically once the tank is full. Remove the filling hose, replace the cap on the filling port, and turn on the device. Your AFIRE maintenance is now complete! ✅
