Davilas escaped his crypt and set up the Banner of Hope in the ruins of Cantlin, where he met Pippa. He just finished her quest to create torches. After resuming, Davilas talks to Pippa for her third quest (time 0:28). Now, she wants Davilas to plant a Torch in the house. According to Rubiss, a room is complete if it has walls two blocks high, a door, and a source of light, such as a Torch. Davilas goes to his new room and plants a Torch (time 1:30). Completing an empty room adds 330 points to the base. Also, the player earns the trophy "Beginner Builder" for building the first room. Davilas reports to Pippa (time 2:08). For completing this quest, Davilas earns a Seed of Life, which permanently increases his HP by 5. He does not gain levels, so this is the only way to augment his HP. Davilas talks to Pippa for her fourth quest (time 3:11). Now, they need two kinds of beds to sleep on. Rubiss will chime in with some advice. Davilas must build two Straw Mattresses, which require three Grassy Leaves apiece. In a brainwave, Davilas learns how to make Straw Mattresses. First, Davilas must collect Grassy Leaves. There are Grassy Leaves in and around the base limits of Cantlin, including in the empty room, and there are also White Petals. When he has the Grassy Leaves, Davilas goes to the Mason's Workstation (time 6:03). He builds two Straw Mattresses. Then, he places these Straw Mattresses in his empty room. Placing two Straw Mattresses in the empty room turns it into a basic bedroom, which requires two Straw Mattresses and a Light Source. A basic bedroom increases the residents' maximum HP by 10% and adds 100 points to the town score. Davilas reports to Pippa (time 7:08). For completing this quest, Davilas earns a couple of Broken Branches. Also, time begins to pass. Davilas can rest in a bed, as long as it is within a complete room. The complete room need not be in a base, either; he can make little bedrooms to rest in out in the countryside. This game has a day-night cycle, and exploring at night is dangerous. Not only is it dark, but annoying ghosts will attack relentlessly. Davilas talks to Pippa for her fifth quest (time 8:56). Now, she brings up the topic of food. There are Plumberry trees in the area, and she wants Davilas to harvest five Plumberries. Davilas heads out in search of Plumberries. There are several spots to find them in all directions. In a depression northeast of town, there is a signpost with a lengthy message (time 10:29). There is also a sign on a peninsula northwest of town (time 13:02). It looks like one can build a bridge to the landmass across the sea with Earth blocks, but the game does not allow it. Once he has the needed Plumberries, Davilas reports to Pippa in town (time 13:57). For completing the quest, Davilas earns back three Plumberries. Also, Davilas now gets the hunger meter. The hunger meter looks like five loaves of bread, and it will deplete over time. Each Plumberry fills in half a loaf of bread on the meter. There are better foods to find. Next, Davilas talks to Pippa for her sixth quest (time 14:53). Now, she advises him to create a container to store and manages his resources. This will be helpful, since his inventory is limited. He works out how to make a Chest. At the Mason's Workbench, Davilas makes a Chest (time 16:09). Each chest requires three Broken Branches. Then, Davilas reports to Pippa (time 16:28). She, too, wants to rebuild the city. Davilas will need a bunch of materials, which is why she asked Davilas to build the chest. For completing this quest, Davilas earns two Broken Branches. Davilas talks to Pippa for her seventh quest (time 18:05). She wants to help build, but she will need a room to work in To this end, she gives Davilas the Pippa's Picture blueprint. Blueprints require specific parts. Davilas works out how to make Straw Doors. The description is continued in the comments.
