The Reef tank simulates the natural reef. Changes in the chemistry, temperature and light spectrum can be monitored. Effects of these changes on corals, fishes and invertebrates can be observed in our tank. We can understand what happens to the reefs when global warming continues. Biology Department and students volunteer to maintain our tank, however they need your support for the maintenance. We will keep updating the status of the tank and continue providing a live feed from the tank. The weekly maintenance of the tank includes 10% water change, proper testing of water parameters and addition of supplements. Metal Halide lamps are used to stimulate day light cycle. Bulbs need to be replaced once every year. Reefs, invertebrates and fishes obtained from local stores properly importing them from established suppliers. Grown corals and invertebrates distributed to local reef lovers. Proper maintenance, and respect to sea life is our motto and transferred to our students.
