Alex Burrows suspended 10 games for kneeing Taylor Hall in the head. Ottawa Senators forward Alex Burrows was suspended for 10 games on Wednesday for kneeing New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall in the head. The NHL said that Burrows acted as the aggressor after Hall delivered a hard, clean check on Tuesday and tried to engage him in a fight while Hall continued to be involved in the Devils' offense. The whistle blew, then Burrows went after Hall and kneed him twice while on the ice. He argued that the kneeing occurred while he tried to free his arm, but the league dismissed that. "For the sole purpose of retribution, Burrows drags an unwilling opponent to the ice, punches him several times, then uses his kneepad to violently inflict more punishment on his opponent's head," the league said in a video. "This is a dangerous and unjustifiable attack that runs the risk of severe injury."
