Präsentiert wird hier eine Turmaufnahme des Geläutes von der Kathedrale St. Peter in Exeter (Devonshire) Großbritannien. Im Südturm der Kathedrale hängen insgesamt 14 Glocken, wovon die hier im Video zu sehenden 12 Glocken das Hauptgeläut bilden. 2 weitere seperaten Glocken ermöglichen mehr Kombinationen in anderen Tonlagen. Das Geläut der Kathedrale von Exeter ist eine Mischung aus Glocken, die in verschiedene Jahrhunderten gegossen wurden. Dadurch hat es einen hohen Wiedererkennungswert und die historischen Glocken verleihen dem Geläut einen besonderen Charakter. Es ist nach der Angelican Cathedral in Liverpool das zweit schwerste Change Ringing Geläut der Welt. Beim läuten der Glocken gerät der Turm spürbar ins wanken. Zu sehen ist dies im Video anhand einer Lampe im Turmdach, die beim Läuten der Glocken ordentlich wackelt oder anhand meiner unruhigen Kameraführung hin und wieder. Die Aufnahme entstand in der Glockenstube bei den 4 großen Glocken des Geläutes. Eine andere Stelle war nicht möglich. Trotzdem bekommt man hier einen tollen Eindruck vom Geläut. Dies ist auch eine der letzten Videos von einem Change Ringing als Turmaufnahme in der Glockenstube. Falls jemand weiss wie die zu hörende Method heisst, gerne in die Kommentare schreiben. Das Geläut erklingt in der Regel am Montag um 19 Uhr und am Samstag um 18 Uhr jeweils zum Übungsabend. Am Sonntag wird um 14:30 Uhr Geläutet zur Vesper. English: This video presents a tower recording of the bells of St. Peter's Cathedral in Exeter, Devonshire, Great Britain. A total of 14 bells hang in the south tower of the cathedral, of which the 12 bells seen in this video form the main peal. Two additional separate bells allow for more combinations in different pitches. The Exeter Cathedral peal is a mixture of bells cast in different centuries. This gives it a high degree of recognizability, and the historic bells lend the peal a special character. It is the second heaviest change-ringing peal in the world, after Angelican Cathedral in Liverpool. When the bells ring, the tower visibly sways. This can be seen in the video by a lamp in the tower roof, which shakes considerably when the bells ring, and also by my occasional shaky camera work. The recording was made in the bell chamber near the four largest bells of the peal. No other location was available. Nevertheless, you get a wonderful impression of the bells here. This is also one of the last videos of a change ringing as a tower recording in the bell chamber. If anyone knows the name of the method you hear, please write it in the comments. The bells usually ring on Mondays at 7 p.m. and on Saturdays at 6 p.m. for practice. On Sundays, the bells ring at 2:30 p.m. for Vespers.
