[CYCLING] Brandenburg Forest, River & Villages: Hofjagdweg & Dahme-Radweg Bike Day Trip from Berlin

A sunny autumn day is hard to come by in Berlin & Brandenburg, so when one arrived, we immediately took our bikes out for a day trip. We first loaded them on to a regional train from Berlin to Groß Köris, from which we mainly followed the Hofjagdweg bicycle path, passing the villages of Löpten and Hammer. In Hammer, we joined the Dahme-Radweg bike path through Prieros, Friedrichsbauhof and Heidesee. Lunch was at a Czech bistro in Heidesee called Kuddels Gastwirtschaft, which offers a marvellous view of the River Dahme and the Dolgen See. We continued through the village of Dolgenbrodt to reach Königs Wusterhausen and caught a regional train back to Berlin. Surfaces on this route vary from asphalt to sand and dirt tracks, so I'd recommend a trekking bike or an all terrain bike.
