118,223 hexa converted for the clear. Definitely very overspec for this run. I'm not quite sure what the actual min spec to clear is for DB on the current patch, but I was able to do enough damage to clear while doing an unoptimal p3 strat. DB min clear relies on playing tiger cheese in p3 after killing dog and bird, but without the upcoming Kaling nerfs playing inside tiger with full Kaling patterns is far too difficult to do consistently. I'll provide some tips for any other DBs that are attempting to clear. P1: Tiger: In tiger, the only rng with the boss is the initial dash when setting up the first coil. The rest of tigers movement and attacks can be manipulated. On entry, I would basic attack to proc my Fatal Strike. I've found that doing so lines up the fatal timer such that it procs again after origin once the triangle is setup. After getting the initial dash and tp, I would hit the boss until it did the shield pattern, then move to the third pylon to setup for burst. Once the first triangle times out, I would keep attacking the boss until it does the shield pattern again before moving up to setup the next triangle. Once you setup the 2nd triangle and do the mini burst, you can choose to setup the third triangle on either side of the map. I personally preferred to walk the tiger all the way to the left corner during the mini burst and setup the third triangle starting from there. Bird: Ideally you kill tiger fast enough such that you can carry over some of Shadow Walker and Last Resort into bird entry while swapping to risk taker. Starting in bird make sure you always gene iframe first during your burst, then binding the boss after gene times out. If you pop your burst instantly after bird finishes a fly pattern, then you can hold the bind until you have 8s left on your Shadow Walker and other buffs. The only other strat I utilized for bird is swapping to Risk Taker before my 2nd burst came off cooldown and using origin with that Risk Taker to kill the bird without bursting. This strat would not work in a min clear since the bird hp would be too high to kill with just the origin cast. Dog: Since I was able to kill bird with my origin cast, I was able to enter dog with my full burst off cooldown. Doing this strat, I choose to skip my bind for the entry burst and chose to bind for the mini burst instead so that my mini burst and 2nd burst do not get delayed by the dog tests. I was strong enough that this strat with perfect play allowed me to kill dog in my 2nd ror. Dog room is the hardest room for us since we are a pure melee class. Pre nerfs, some of the patterns in dog are too fast to react to. What I found to work for me is that I use Tornado Spin to dodge either the spike or chain patterns, then would instantly up jump anticipating the dog to use either the swipe or breath patterns. P2: The strat I found most consistent for p2 is baiting Kaling to tp to the bottom right space, then jumping to the portal and attacking from range. I would use the portal to dodge scrolls if I didn't have an iframe available, or if the puddle was on the ground to the left of the portal. This strat works fine if you plan to play tiger cheese in p3, however, since you play on the right side of the map, you have to be wary of taking yellow strings or getting hit by spikes when taking the portal. You may have to run to the left side of the map to take red strings if the dog gauge is getting too high. For the fma, I would always aim to bait Kaling to tp the safe spot on the left side of the middle right platform. Since Kaling cannot attack during the fma, baiting her to tp there is free damage for the duration of the fma. P3: P3 is probably the simplest phase overall. If you plan to play inside tiger, make sure to step into bird consistently to take red strings so that you don't brick the dog gauge. Blades of Destiny and Sudden Raid both full aoe the left side of the map if you stand between the two. Blade Storm can full aoe if you stand in the middle of dogs leftmost chain or under the middle left wing of the bird statue. Some people have said that Asura's Anger can also full aoe if you stand in a pixel perfect spot, but as much as I have tested it in practice runs, I could never find a spot where it hits both. The only other strat I utilized is leaving bird below 1% hp before second origin such that it dies to the origin cutscene. This allowed me to start attacking tiger early. This boss will become a lot easier for DB after we get the balance patch and Kaling nerfs. Practice mode will be nice as well.
