The Man Upstairs (1992)

More stuff from the VHS archives. Escaped convict Moony Polanski (Ryan O'Neal) befriends a lonely old lady, Victoria Brown (Katharine Hepburn), while hiding in her attic in the days leading up to Christmas. This movie originally aired on CBS back in 1992. It is one of my mother's favorite Christmas movies and she held on to a poor quality VHS recording of it for decades. So I decided to track down a copy of the official VHS release so she could watch it. Well, here we are in 2024, now some 31+ years after the fact. It is long out of circulation and it doesn't seem anyone who owns the rights are interested in putting it back on television, streaming it or releasing it on any modern video formats. Not to mention that there are only random segments remaining left uploaded on Youtube. Since I'm pretty sure my mother will want to watch it again and there may be others out there that are interested and maybe haven't seen it since the 90s, why not reintroduce it to the world with another upload? And I will gladly take this down if an official release comes out so I can make my mother happy. And when spooie's mother is happy, then spooie is happy. Also of note is that this was Katharine Hepburn's fourth-last screen appearance. Copyright Burt Reynolds Productions Inc... (probably...?)
