Unfortunately this type of fork extenders for the KTM 390 Adventure, extend the forks by 40 mm, NOT 1 inch (25.4 mm) as they were originally advertised all over the internet, nor 30 mm as mentioned in the promo video of Zmoke Vlogs, nor 1.26 inch (32 mm) as altered in the description on the NiceCNC website since January 31 2023. See diagram: https://www.pinkbike.com/photo/24153284/ This 40 mm extension causes a problem in the bottom triple clamp: In the standard position, the fork legs start to taper about 14 mm above the bottom triple clamp. Going from Ø 54 mm 14 mm above the bottom triple clamp, to Ø 51 mm just below the top triple clamp. With the extenders mounted, the transition from the normal cylindrical clamping part Ø 54 mm on the fork leg, to the tapered part, is now located in the middle of the lower triple clamp. This of course compromises the stability of the connection between the lower triple clamp and the fork leg, and could permanently deform both parts due to the uneven load that now acts upon them.
