In this second video on the cryptorchid patient, Dr Sylvestre discusses her thought process behind the decision making on how she approaches the cryptorchid patient when the ectopic testicle is non-palpable. The question is: is the testicle in the abdomen or in the inguinal area but difficult to palpate? In a perfect world, this question could be answered with an ultra sound; but we do not live in perfect world. Dr Sylvestre's preference is to explore the abdomen first, watch the video to learn why.
