It's a beautiful section of the St. Johns River showing the flood plain, flooding levels, and even a few grazing cows. Along the way we will learn about access points and a bit about the wildlife in this beautiful region. About the Boat: The "little blue skiff" is a wooden boat that I built from a kit purchased from a company in Maryland (Chesapeake Light Craft). Construction, painting, and engine install took about 18 months. The kit model is their "Peeler Skiff". This flat bottom boat is 15 ft long and has a wide beam. The engine is a 15HP 4-stroke mercury which is the max rated engine for the boat and pushes it extremely well - even with its maximum capacity of four people.
