Remember that Unrestricted Vehicle Combo project we're working on?? While that one is still going, while I'm waiting for the remaining textures to arrive, I realized the current code for it forces CPU players to use team-colors in Battle Mode. I thought it was straight at first, of course that's not how the code is supposed to work. But then it hit me... We basically can implement non-Standard team-color combos in the game! And yes, this can be combined with the Unrestricted Vehicle Combo, too! For now I'm only making team-color textures, maybe I'll include all the models as well, but keep in mind the total amount of combo files will be multiplied by 3 (your regular no-team vehicles + all reds + all blues). This is just futureproofing the project as we might end up getting a total of 9,072 models, which of course we want to prevent. Instead, it would be an idea for a future project to implement the team-color textures inside the vehicles (either a lazy slap-on-and-done, or a smart development where the emblem gets replaced with the team-color one, and using a color palette for the texture instead (of course there will be brightness changes if doing this, just throwing in ideas)). While this is a very niche feature, I'm sure it can become a useful tool just to make it extra obvious who's in the blue team and who is in the red team (or in other teams as the MKW-SP project has shown before), especially useful for Coin Runners to say the least.
