Band line up: Simon Pink - Lead vocals, guitar, keys. Daniel Carway - Bass, backing vocals. Ted Lake - Drums, backing vocals. Mister-Pink are all about the ‘entertainment’. Their show includes stripteases, setting instruments on fire and making sure everyone who has turned up has an awe inspiring night that they won’t ever forget. The music is a blend of funk, rock and blues - “Funkarockblues” taking elements of Prince, Led Zeppelin and Freddie King to bring you fresh and exciting songs. They have been together for 20 years and in that time have clocked up over 2,000 live performances all over Europe. Their songs were all written by front man Simon Pink who used his surname to add a touch of ‘tongue in cheek’ to the rock star image. He says “When we originally put the band together it was very much aimed at the hard rock, biker type of music, but we found ourselves becoming more diverse and diverging into new genres. Although we are all highly regarded musicians in our own rights, we didn’t want to be thought of as ‘too serious’ so we used my name to add a sense of fun to our outlandish stage presence, there are too many great bands out there to say we’re the best musicians however we do feel we are up there with the whole performance. I’ve had the pleasure to see most of the top bands and performers and certainly agree that this is the type of band I’d go and see just for the stage antics”! They have played with some big names including Prince, Motorhead, Hawkwind, Philip Sayce, Andy James, Paul Gilbert, Wilco Johnson, Joe Bonnamassa and many others. They have 5 original albums with plenty of top crowd pleasers and all of their recent single releases (since lock down) have been in the Reverb Nation Top 10. They are a 3 piece rock & pop band who are professional and easy to work with. They can also do rock covers set or a full on a 90 minute Jimi Hendrix special - this shows that they can perform as well as any top band out there. Singer and guitarist Simon Pink presents a popular music program on an award winning radio station and promotes festivals and events that they play at. The band have recorded in The Darkness’s studio, Nick Bryne (Oasis, Robbie Williams), Music Outpost with Billy Flemming (Motorhead and Hawkwind) and at Abbey Road Studios.
