Amazon recently announced that it's shutting down its AAA games efforts and instead is focusing more on creating casual AI-focused games. As a result New World is getting killed despite keeping the servers alive, and the future of Lord of the Rings MMO is sketchy at best - although everything seems to be pointing to the fact that it's done as well.
