How quickly and perfectly can you fix any damage on furniture surfaces in every home? Each of us is faced with small damages on furniture surfaces. Even on new furniture, chips, scratches, dents, cracks and other damages appear over time. Pets also often damage furniture. Few people know that there is an effective method that will help repair all the damage on your furniture. This is the technology of local restoration using restoration materials and special repair kits. It's very easy! Everyone can do it. In the video, I show this on the example of repairing damage on a new chipboard kitchen worktop. I easily restore a small hole accidentally made with a drill. The result is amazing! The worktop is like new. With this method, you can repair damage on other furniture surfaces as well. For work, I use professional restoration materials and KONIG (Germany) tools. But you can also use analogues. Work process: I clean the damaged area from dirt and degrease the surface. For repairs, I use restoration materials for local restoration. These are hard furniture waxes of various colors, a soldering iron, a plastic spatula with teeth, acrylic paints, auxiliary tools and transparent restoration varnish. I fill the depth of the damage with hard wax, which I melt and fill with a soldering iron. The melting point of hard waxes is +-80-90 C. To obtain the necessary shades, different colors of wax can be mixed together. The wax should be filled with a small excess. By applying a metal part to the wax, you can speed up its cooling. After cooling, we cut off the excess wax with a spatula, thus leveling the surface. For an ideal repair, I paint the detailed surface texture with restoration acrylic paints with a thin brush. At the end, the restored place must be covered with a transparent restoration varnish. In this case, the varnish is semi-matte. The restoration is complete! It is recommended to use the surface after 2 hours. This is necessary for all materials to reach their strength. I hope you found my video helpful!
