Explore Australia - Chinchilla Queensland

In this episode we visit the Queensland town of Chinchilla. We had planned to park up the caravan at Chinchilla Weir however the recent Queensland floods made that impossible. We booked into Chinchilla Tourist Park for 2 nights and spent a few days exploring what the town had to offer. We visited the Big Melon, the Chinchilla Botanical Gardens, the Chinchilla Historical Museum and an educational visit to the Cactoblastis monument where we learnt about the invasion of the Prickly Pear and how a moth eradicated this invading plant in Australia.
