In this last video we have “le moment supreme”. We knew what was going to happen but we had no idea when it was going to happen. I wanted to be very close; I know this wasn’t very smart, liquid bronze is really hot, but I was so anxious to follow the process very close. So I made a lot of shots, Oanh selected the most useful ones to present the best impression. With a good camera and a prepared script the result would have been much better, however I’m not sure they would have done their work like they did it now. Very few people can act naturally when they know and see there’s a real video team with good camera’s, a stick with a microphone, some extra light.. Nevertheless I miss the microphone because my phone couldn’t handle the incredible beautiful deep sound of the gongs. It is surprising to see how he’s giving it his sound by hammering and listening with his feet, then after a while he feels the sound is good and when he lift the gong to beat it softly a perfect very deep sound escaped immediately followed by the next waves.. finding their way straight to the nearby Highlands.
