Sometimes referred to as the August long weekend, the civic holiday (previously known as Simcoe Day) was on August 1st in 2022, meaning the fireworks display at Canada's Wonderland actually happened in July! Anyway, enjoy the show! Personally, I never get tired of seeing the incredible pyrotechnics on display at the park! This concludes my daily postings of shows from the 2022 season, and I wanted to end it with a celebratory show since the park's annual Season Pass Preview is happening tomorrow, April 30, 2023! There is one other thing to note: Shortly after this particular fireworks show, a pump house located in Splash Works caught fire, damaging at least one slide (Super Soaker) enough to require replacement slide segments to be manufactured and installed. Although the timing is suspicious, I have yet to see/hear any confirmation of a causal link between the fireworks display and the small structure fire.
