“One of the characteristics of this operation is a tremendous partnership on the ground.” Encroaching wildfires in Manitoba resulted in one of the province’s most severe emergencies in recent memory. Conrad Sauvé, President and CEO of the Canadian Red Cross, is at the operational centre in Winnipeg meeting with staff, volunteers and partners.
