Praveen Moman, Founder and CEO of the Volcanoes Safaris, shares his story and the passion and connection to wildlife and communities in Uganda and Rwanda that led him to establish the Virunga Lodge in 2004. Praveen’s connection to Uganda formed as a young child, growing up in the Ugandan wilderness. His journey with Volcanoes Safaris started in 1997 as a vision to introduce tourism into Uganda and Rwanda in a way that benefited both wildlife and people, highlighting the complex interconnectedness of people and conservation.
