The new version, which includes Xfce 4.16, is now based on GTK+3, and almost everything that comes with the default install has been upgraded to use GTK+3. It comes with the new version, Firefox 102ESR, LibreOffice 7.4, GIMP 2.10 and more, which includes all the graphical system tools that got major updates and a more modern look. It is stated that everything has been renewed, including the default wallpaper specially designed for Salix 15.0, while thousands of packages have been created with tremendous effort, the software repositories are now full of packages; it is stated that everything is ready for instant installation via the Gslapt package manager. :: More :: Salix is a Slackware-based Linux distribution that is simple, fast, easy to use and compatible with Slackware Linux. The distribution has published Salix 15.0 which includes the Xfce 4.16 desktop, much larger package repositories, and Flatpak support. "On a high level, this release includes Xfce 4.16 as the main environment! This is now based on GTK+ 3 and almost everything else that comes with a default installation has been upgraded to use GTK+ 3.
