Game: Final Fantasy I Port: PSP Emulator: PPSSPP v1.0.7 64 Bit Marilith is fought in a rematch at the Chaos Shrine, 2000 years in the past. She is challenged before the staircase that leads to the Water Floor. I decided to take these bosses on before doing the real bonus content (I didn't really count Earthgift because the item drops arent super helpful for end game except Elven Cloak). Beating her allows you to progress further. PLAN ===== Marilith is no different than she was when you fought her at Gulg. The difference is now she gets Resistance to Ice and her spells ascend to the next level; being able to cast Firaga, Stun and Blind. She still has a potentially vicious melee attack. Setting up NulBlaze, Protera and Invisira is recommended to cut down on overall damage, heal anyone near critical status. Unleash your hardest hitting non elemental spells (Holy and Flare) and physically augmented characters and she will fall fast. You can still try to apply status effects like Kill, Stun and Sleep, but this will be difficult as you need to overcome her Magic Defense to do so. STATS ====== HP: 3200 Strength: 60 Intelligence: 41 Defense: 80 Magic Defense: 183 Agility: 30 Accuracy: 63 Evasion: 60 Resists Ice, Immune to Dia Attack - Standard attack against 1 party member. Shields and cloaks can block. Protera, Invisira or slowing her down can reduce damage. Firaga - Deals heavy Fire damage to entire party. NulBlaze can halve this. Blind - Attempts to blind a party member. Can be negated by Ribbons. Remove with Eye Drops or Blindna Stun - Attempts to paralyze a party member. Can be removed with Remedy. High Magic Defense can render ineffective.
