Thanks to SCM's know-how in softforming process, the edgbanding of shaped panels has further evolved. The edge thickness is now no longer a limit. In the gluing process, the new edge pressure zone with special shaping devices allows the application of PVC edges with a thickness of up to 0.6 mm on "J" and "C" profiles thus ensuring a better aesthetic result on chipboard panels and greater mechanical resistance of the edge in the finished product. A new end trimming unit designed for softforming processing with a specific cutting geometry, guarantees a perfect finish of the beginning and end of the panel, regardless of the type of profile, with a reduction of the waste in the transverse sides, while the new Round J-side unit allows the finishing of the transverse side in the "J" and "C" profile in a single pass, thus ensuring high productivity. The finishing units have been equipped with NC axes for a quick set-up in case of profile changes. In addition, it is now no longer necessary to machine cabinet doors with softforming profiles from bars, but directly from panels already sized.
