SDN devoutly presents Thiru Manikkavasagar's THIRUVAMMAANAI 'Ammaanai' is a popular type of poetic structure in Tamil literature. Young girls of the ancient days played a game called 'ammaanai' with balls / small stones / play coins, simultaneously exchanging questions and answers, expressing love and devotion to the Lord. According to Tamil literature, Ammaanai usually refers to three or five girls singing questions and answers while playing the game. The ammaanai game, similar to jugglery, is a great catalyst for developing concentration, arithmetic and analytical skills. Saint Manikkavasagar's composition is the earliest Ammaanai poetry available in Tamil literature. We present Thiruvammaanai (Thiru + Ammaanai) from Thiru Manikkavasagar's THIRUVASAGAM, composed as "Ananda Kalippu" at Thiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu.
