And this is what I did on a beautiful sunny and mild day in early March. Please join me for a trip from Munich to Bad Tölz alongside the river Isar, on the Isar cycling path. As I am rather in the Party Pace team, I take a lot of breaks, am overtaken by road cyclists and generally make stops at every other nice location. The Surly Bridge Club is an awesome bike. Despite its weight, it is a pleasure to ride and it was easily capable for all parts of this route (once I had to push my bike up a hill, but that was due to my own exhaustion haha). Some words about my Rohloff Speedhub and SON Ladelux are also included, about which I am very happy in general. Next time, I will take my second Ortlieb pannier bag to bring some more (healthier) snacks with me and some more water. Also I am considering getting a good navigation app for the smartphone now that I have more charging power with the SON Ladelux. I am still used to only using the smartphone to check the route from time to time. My Coffee Grinder is correctly named X25, sorry Commandante! 😭
