Beware: MIGHT NOT WORK. Some distros/versions seem to work, some don't. Not the best way of using HDT. There are some issues and it's laggy. But since I have used Steam to install Battle.net I wanted to make it work. I got it running, but with some nuances. Tell me if it works for you or if you have problems (probably can't help you though). Need to use this first if you haven't yet: • Install Battle.net Games on Linux with Ste... (How to install Battle.net & it's games on Linux using Steam) Add to "Launch options": STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH=~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/XXXXXX %command% (for XXXXXX insert the number of the compatdata folder your original Battle.net-Launcher.exe in your steam library is using) ( If you have a weird steam installation and there is no ".steam" folder in your home, then just use the different path that leads to the compatdata folder instead. ) Timestamps 0:00 - 3:35 (Installation) 3:35 - 6:07 (Issues) Updates Sometimes it wants to update, if you click Download it will give an error. Instead download newest .zip from github again. Extract , delete the old folder and put the new one where the old was. I don't even have to link it to steam again. The program has the same name and is in the same location as the old. I also recommend to activate: Options - Tracker - Settings - "Minimize to tray" (This stops it from showing up after a game again.) I didn't have the response problem when I used Linux Mint with Cinnamon in VirtualBox. (But it was laggy because it's VirtualBox, of course.) On my Ubuntu 22 GNOME I have the response problem, but only in the menu and collection. In matches, while playing it never happens, which is great at least. I can solve it by using Xorg (X11) instead of Wayland. But want to stick with Wayland. So the hotkey solution it is for now. If I figure something out I update this. If someone knows how to fix it: pray tell. Got an idea from this guide that shows it with "bottles" instead: • Setting up Hearthstone Deck Tracker on Lin... Also good fallback in case the steam approach stops working.
