Vampire Killer MSX2 Review [ S5 Ep.6 ] In this in-depth review of Vampire Killer, I take a closer look at the strange MSX2 cousin of the original Castlevania. After revisiting the NES game in my previous video, it felt only right to see what this much more obscure version had to offer. At first glance, it looks familiar enough, with Simon Belmont, the whip, and plenty of classic horror flavour, but it doesn't take long before the differences become very obvious. In the video, I go over what makes Vampire Killer such an unusual take on the formula, from its maze like structure and key hunting to its brutal difficulty and tendency to leave you wandering around in confusion. I also compare it to the NES version and explain why this game ended up becoming such a forgotten oddity. Vampire Killer was developed and published by Konami for the MSX2. It was released in Japan in 1986 and in Europe in 1987. It never came out in North America. 💢 Chapters 00:00 Introduction 01:01 GFrom Theme Song 01:25 Block 1 05:39 Block 2 07:34 Block 3 09:35 Block 4 12:03 Block 5 15:09 Block 6 19:41 Conclusion 💢 If you enjoy this video, please give it a like and share it with your friends!
