Competences for Democratic Culture - Democracy through Drama Summer School workshop

The Democracy through Drama project investigates the use of Drama in Education and Mimesis in Education in facilitating a democratic classroom. This workshop was facilitated by Ellen Van Vooren (Children’s Rights Knowledge Centre, https://www.keki.be/en). Participants explored how the competences in the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture from the Council of Europe could be translated into practice and reflected on how the curriculum in their school represents the values, attitudes, skills and knowledge and critical understanding from the Framework. The workshop was held at the Democracy through Drama Summer School in Budapest in 2019 July, organised by InSite Drama.
