GTX 1080 E5-2690 1886mhz Quad Channel DDR3 32 GB i7-6800k 3200mhz Quad Channel DDR4 32 GB i9-9900k 3200mhz Dual Channel DDR4 32 GB Just noticed how lows on 6800k are actually better than lows on 9900k. Which shows that the Quad Channel ram makes rather substantial difference. 6800k loses only in some "max" fps regions of the map, while in others it won against 9900k. It is same ram that I pulled out of my 9900k btw. Same timing as well. E5-2690 cannot compete in single core performance, as it is weaker than 4770k/4790k, which both are about 20-25% worse than 9900k. Also DDR3 is not as fast. As Quad Channel @ 1866 mhz equals to 3732mhz in dual channel. (by bandwidth/transfer rate) Quad channel @ 3200 mhz equals to 6400 mhz in dual channel (by bandwidth/transfer rate) It does present a nice way of seeing that Quad Channel makes a big difference in FPS. It compensates in other aspects where CPU would lose in dual channel. 6800k system is dismantled at this point, and I will not be testing 6800k dual channel vs 9900k dual channel.
