Trying Big 4 Patterns and Sewing a Collared Shirt for my Very Fit Husband - McCalls M6044

I sewed a shirt for my husband that fits him better than anything he has in his closet. I used the McCalls pattern M6044 and I am officially in love with this sewing pattern! My husband is very trim and struggles to find ready to wear shirts that have the room he needs across his upper back/shoulders and that is not baggy. He also has a longer torso and finds that when he gets a shirt long enough, it is way too big on him. I saw Angela from ‪@DevonThreadTales‬ make this pattern and I thought it was worth trying for Charlie - especially when JoAnns had the patterns on sale for $1.99. The fabric for my muslin/toile is a cheap (and inexpensive) cotton from JoAnns in a Baby Yoda print. Now that I know how perfectly it works for Charlie I wish I had used a better fabric. I sewed him a size M which fit his measurements perfectly. (40 Chest, 32-33 Waist) and the length of a M was very close to the length of a L. I have not been as happy and excited about a sew in a long time. Mainly because it was something Charlie really needs in his wardrobe and the pattern is something I can sew in a day.
