Easy Cast Iron Pulled Pork

Pulled pork is one of the easiest dishes in the world to make in a cast iron dutch oven. You can add just about anything, and as long as it goes with pork, you'll end up with a delicious pulled pork. Just cover it with rub, and slow-cook it in the dutch oven for several hours until it falls apart. This pulled pork was made in a Birmingham Stove & Range #12 dutch oven, with a 12 pound pork shoulder. The pork was seasoned with a simple rub of corn oil plus vinegar, with "Simon and Garfunkel" spices mixed in and a goodly amount of Old Bay seasoning. The pork shoulder was completely coated with the rub, and about 10 ounces of Guinness ale added for a braising liquid. Cover the pot, slow-cook all night at 260 degrees Fahrenheit, and bam.
