We love playing this song.. great tempo, slick guitar by Robby Krieger, energetic drums by John Densmore, just a cool vibe as it enters a dreamy slow state and then picks up again. Sorry that it's been so long since we've video'd any covers, but we've been so busy writing original music and doing loads of gigs... but we made some time last week and we're back with a cover and more to come! And what a banger! L.A.Woman is the title track from The Doors sixth album. It was released on April 19, 1971, by Elektra Records. It is the last to feature lead singer Jim Morrison during his lifetime, due to his death exactly two months and two weeks following the album's release. Lyrically, the album deals with contemporary topics such as love, life in Los Angeles, and complex aspects of the human experience. The band did not approach the album with one vision, but after they started working on the songs, they realised that they're talking about L.A... about the men, women, boys, girls, love, loss, lovers-lost, and lovers-found in Los Angeles. Anyway, we love playing this song and hope you guys enjoy it too! Rumpus Machine is a sibling rock band playing live classic rock music and original songs! We are brothers and sisters from Auckland in New Zealand. We like to learn and perform new songs together and play modern music and classic rock songs.
