I recently picked up the quick release door hinges from Tom's Bronco Parts and spent hours trying to get the doors aligned after installing them. I learned a lot through the process and wanted to make a "how to align the doors" video that will hopefully help someone else out there. There is a lot that didn't make it into this video that I learned, and a lot of mistakes I made, so please leave a comment or ask a question! Door Hinge Install step by step: 1:00 - Parts that come in the kit 1:19 - Remove the old hinges 1:58 - Install new hinge on the door post 2:25 - Install new hinge on door 3:05 - Reinstall door 3:58 - Align the door to the body Installing the hinges is really simple. Now aligning the doors is one of the most time consuming things you will do on your Classic Ford Bronco. It requires a lot of patience. Every move you make changes the way the door sits and hangs. When you think you've got everything aligned, one small tweak messes it all up. In this video I walk through what I've learned using shims (well, just washers, but you should buy the shims https://tomsoffroad.com/parts/66-77-f...) and what I learned by adding shims to the body mounts. Well, I didn't end up adding any shims to the body, but I walk through why. Door alignment is challenging, but well worth the time. Hopefully this video helps!
