Saturday February 26, 2022 very well may have been the craziest day in college basketball history. For the first ever, every team ranked in the top six lost. In addition, seven of the top ten ranked teams lost on the same day for the first time ever. Top ranked Gonzaga lost to St Mary's, second ranked Arizona was upset by Colorado, third ranked Auburn lost to Tennessee, fourth ranked Purdue lost on a game winner against Michigan State, fifth ranked Kansas lost against Baylor, sixth ranked Kentucky lost against Arkansas, and ninth ranked Texas Tech lost to TCU. Another major upset occurred in Chicago as lowly Chicago State took down WAC leading New Mexico State in the final seconds despite being 17 point underdogs. And in addition to all of these upsets, there was also a few crazy endings that will be remembered for a long time. In my opinion, at the very least, this was one of the craziest days in college basketball history and might be the craziest ever.
