Here's another downfiring subwoofer enclosure designed and built specifically for a 2018 Toyota HiAce GL Grandia all purpose van. The usual box-mounted amplifier to drive a slim shallow-mount 12 inch subwoofer, that is powerful enough to shake the whole van without compromising the available space underseat. The enclosure will be then installed under the passenger seat located at second row. There will be some minor modification to be done by sawing off the middle steel seat stand to accommodate the box. Main component used is the Kenwood KFC-WPS1200F / Excelon KFC-XW1200F shallow-mount 12" subwoofer with single 4 Ohm voice coil. And man, let me tell you! This sub is one hell of the highest quality subwoofer speaker I have ever used! It has very thick and rugged aluminum speaker basket, heavy ferrite magnet, and most of all it has a carbon glass fiber honeycomb cone. Also has a high quality soft rubber surround to add the nice features. High quality push type spring loaded speaker wire terminals are in the house! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE! Second component is the Nakamichi NKTD1000.1 monoblock 1000w amplifier. Factory specs to outpout about 1000 watt @ 1 Ohm and about 400w RMS on the 4 Ohm impedance. Which is just enough to bump the slim Kenwood Excelon subwoofer which is rated about 350w RMS by the manufacturer. 00:08 UNBOXING SUBWOOFER & AMPLIFIER 00:40 TINKERCAD 3D MODEL For dimensions and cut-list, go to this TinkerCad link https://www.tinkercad.com/things/9z0K... which is another AutoCad web product and service. 00:50 MDF ENCLOSURE WOODWORKS 01:15 FLARING PVC PIPE FOR PORT USING HEATGUN 01:35 GLUING ALL MDF PARTS TOGETHER 02:53 DRIVING WOOD SCREWS 03:12 MOUNTING PVC PIPE AERO PORT 04:03 PAINTING PVC PIPE FLARED PORT 04:17 GLUE & NAIL THE TOP COVER 04:28 ROUNDING EDGES USING PALM ROUTER 04:47 CARPETTING SUBWOOFER ENCLOSURE 06:00 MOUNTING THE ELECTRONICS 07:12 FINAL PRODUCT SHOWCASE This type of boxes are ideally space-saving enclosures that outputs powerful bass that is enough for daily driven cars, vans and trucks alike.
