In the United Kingdom, the single was released in 1986 and peaked at No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart in early 1987. The song is about a radio disc jockey broadcasting in the early hours. However, as very few radio stations in the UK broadcast after midnight in the 1980s, this reference in the record was changed, and the UK version was re-recorded and retitled as "I Love My Radio (Dee Jay's Radio)".
